Here at the Gävle roastery we are building a culture of pride and performance.  The Maintenance Leader develops a culture of ownership in the team with high action orientation and commitment for results which delivers both manufacturing and supply chain excellence. 

The Maintenance Leader delivers the optimum operation of the industrial installations/equipment in the area of responsibility. Ensures the creation and deployment of the preventive maintenance plan in the area while optimizing warehouse stock. Support the achievement of results of the line through a Safe, Healthy and sustainable Environment, complying to quality standards and delivering the right service levels at optimal cost.

The Maintenance Leader delivers results by optimizing the operation of the industrial installations in the area/line through the deployment of the preventative maintenance plan. The role drives the alignment of the maintenance plan with the Plant strategy without compromising delivery of results and standards

Contributes to the Compelling Business Need - CBN, long term (Value Creation Plan - VCP) and mid-term (Annual Operations Plan - AOP) plans cascaded from the area strategy which continuously over delivers on company goals

The Maintenance Leader leads and develops associates in the area of responsibility.  The role manages the flow of inventory effectively and efficiently aiming to achieve the desired level of customer service at the least cost, focusing on process improvement and timely delivery as well as FG inventory.

Main activities - Responsibilities

  • Optimizing the operation of the industrial installations in the area/line through the deployment of both preventive and predictive maintenance plan.
  • Use Operational Excellence tools to create and implement standards for sustainability which drives continuous improvement.
  • Initiate lead and role model productivity improvement and develop our culture of equipment ownership in your team with hands on approach.
  • Deliver key performance indicators linked to Compelling Business Need in Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and Engagement.
  • Ensures that all maintenance required to ensure the Safety, Health and Environment aspects of equipment are known and included in the preventative maintenance system
  • Ensures that all safety instructions and maintenance work is conducted using the required Safety systems such as Lock Out Tag Out Test Out – LOTOTO and permit to work – PTW
  • Drives a Quality culture and role model behaviors. Ensure all maintenance interventions guarantee Quality requirements and legislation implementation and compliance to legal and corporate standards & policies
  • Identifies and executes improvement actions generated from data analysis related to equipment performance
  • Owns and leads breakdown elimination system, maintenance planning and scheduling system
  • Responsible for implementing the preventative maintenance plan on time in full ensuring the optimal functioning of equipment
  • Responsible for reviewing effectiveness of maintenance interventions
  • Ensure effective coordination between production, planning and maintenance

Qualifications

A curious & inquisitive Mindset, Self Driving- always keen to challenge the status quo with a strong team ethic.

  • Develops the Safety competence of all associates, (new) employees, temporary staff and contractors Develops and coaches the associates in the shift to close the competence gap and develops their high performing individuals to enable them to progress further
  • Technical education in Engineering (el/mech/control systems)
  • Experience and evidence of developing a team to deliver results
  • Good communication skills
  • 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment (strong preference in FMCG) including maintenance roles and team management
  • Profound knowledge of Operational Excellence methodologies like TPM
  • Experience in control systems (e.g. SIMATIC, MES) and certified in industrial safety standards
